2023: A Year of Groundbreaking Achievements

  • Land Conservation and Cultural Heritage: We’ve expanded our protected areas in Wawa Sumaco, Ecuador, ensuring the safety of vital ecosystems and the ancient petroglyphs that tell the story of our rich heritage.
  • Sustainable Agriculture Initiatives: By conducting soil tests and providing agronomist support to 45 farms, we’ve made significant strides toward sustainable, regenerative and environmentally friendly farming. ¡Qué viva la Chakra!
  • Organic Coffee and Beyond: With expert-led initiatives in organic coffee cultivation and diverse farming practices, we’re not just growing crops; we’re nurturing biodiversity.
  • Boosting Ecotourism: The allure of witnessing the Cock-of-the-Rock and Umbrellabird Leks has drawn an ever-growing number of visitors, highlighting the precious biodiversity we’re committed to preserving.

This work was accomplished because of our great team in Ecuador. We are all very grateful for the leadership of President Edwin Tanguila and Executive Director Andrés Trujillo. They bring us hope for the future!

Looking Forward to 2024: A Call to Action

The road ahead is paved with both opportunities and challenges. As we move into 2024, your support becomes even more crucial. We are now excited to offer the option of monthly donations, ensuring the long-term viability and sustainability of our foundation. Your contributions will directly support:

  • Continued and new land conservation efforts.
  • The expansion of sustainable and regenerative agricultural practices.
  • Improvements to our ecotourism offerings, enhancing the visitor experience.
  • Projects aimed at community empowerment and the preservation of our cultural heritage.

Introducing Monthly Donations for Sustained Impact

We understand the power of collective action and the difference sustained support can make. Our new donation model with the GiveButter platform allows you to contribute on a monthly basis, providing a steady stream of resources crucial for the ongoing success of our projects.

Urgency in Land Protection: A Global Perspective

The need for immediate action in land conservation has never been more apparent. A recent article by The New York Times, “A Collapse of the Amazon Could Be Coming ‘Faster Than We Thought,'” underscores the critical tipping point our ecosystem faces. This makes our mission more urgent than ever.
