A Critical Moment for Regenerative Chakra & Coffee Project

📢 Fundación Amarun Pakcha January/February Update

Dear Friend of Amarun Pakcha,

As we enter 2024, we want to share exciting progress and an urgent challenge that threatens one of our key projects.

🌱 Coffee Restoration: A Critical Moment

This year, we expanded our sustainable agroforestry program by creating our new pilot project farm in Wawa Sumaco. This new farm will help:

Restore degraded land while providing income for the foundation.
✅ Support community-led sustainable agriculture.
✅ Strengthen our conservation funding through future coffee sales.

However, we are facing an unexpected delay in our G20 grant, which was set to purchase hundreds of new coffee plants. With recent concerns about global funding cuts, the timeline for receiving these funds is now uncertain. Meanwhile, our coffee plants are on order, and we cannot purchase them without immediate funding.

🌍 How You Can Help Today

To keep this project on track, we need to raise emergency funds to secure our coffee plants. If you’re in a position to help, please consider:

💚 Making a donation today  Buy a Coffee Plant
💚 Sharing this email with a friend who cares about conservation.
💚 Sponsoring a coffee plant—just $5 per plant helps us move forward.

Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. If we can raise even a portion of these funds quickly, we can ensure the plants arrive on time and our reforestation work continues.

🌱 Small Wins & What’s Ahead

Despite this funding challenge, we have made great progress in the past months:

✔ Our team continues working on forest restoration and conservation efforts in Wawa Sumaco.
Community tourism is growing, with more visitors interested in experiencing our conservation work firsthand.
Our local team is stronger than ever, thanks to donors like you who make our work possible.

We remain hopeful that the G20 grant will arrive, but in the meantime, we need you to stand with us and keep this work going.

Thank you for your continued support—it means everything to us and to the people of Wawa Sumaco.

With deep gratitude,
Ellen Jacobson
