A New Grant from the G20 Global Land Initiative!

by | Oct 26, 2024 | Newsletters

Dear Friends of Amarun Pakcha,

This October, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news and updates as we prepare for an upcoming visit to Ecuador that is very close to my heart. After a year of incredible progress, I will finally return to Wawa Sumaco with my camera in hand, ready to capture the beauty and hard work of the Kichwa community and the members of Fundación Amarun Pakcha. I can’t wait to share the photos and videos with all of you!

A $15,000 Boost from the G20 Global Land Initiative!

We are proud to announce that Fundación Amarun Pakcha has been awarded a $15,000 grant from the G20 Global Land Initiative! These funds will go directly toward purchasing coffee seedlings for our agroforestry farmers. While it will take a few years for these young trees to produce the high-quality coffee we aim for, it’s a crucial first step toward creating sustainable livelihoods for the families in the community.

Your support is key to sustaining this momentum. We invite you to join us as a Friend of Amarun Pakcha, contributing to the long-term success of these projects. By making a monthly donation of $10 or more, you can have a huge impact on this vibrant Kichwa community.

Contribute Today!

What Can $10 Buy in Ecuador?

  • Dinner for a family of four.

  • A month’s worth of sugar for our hummingbird feeders.

  • Four high-quality coffee plants, which will eventually produce beans for some of the best coffee in the region!

These small contributions help us build a better future for Wawa Sumaco, and we can’t do it without you. Become a sustaining member today and make a lasting difference.

Thank you for being a part of our journey. Together, we are creating change.

Warmly,

Ellen Jacobson
Founder, Friends of Amarun Pakcha
